Policies & Procedures

Policies & Procedures

To maintain the highest levels of safety, comply with government and other regulations, and provide top service to our customers, Alpha One has several policies and procedures that we expect our customers to abide by.

Aircraft Rental

All new flight training customers must fill out an Alpha One rental agreement , and rental customers who are not students must meet insurance requirements and receive a check-out prior to renting.  For more information on insurance requirements please contact an Alpha-One representative directly.

Lesson Cancellation Policy

Alpha One requires our customers to give at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellation of their flight lesson. Failure to do so will result in the following charges:

  • First occurrence: 1 hour instructor charge
  • Second occurrence: total instructor charge and half-hour aircraft charge
  • Third occurrence: total cost of instruction and aircraft

Consideration for extenuating circumstances will be given for each of the above. Cancellation for weather will always be at the discretion of the instructor.

Aircraft Use During High-Wind Conditions

To ensure safety, Alpha One does not permit aircraft rental when the wind speed is 25 knots or greater. Certain specialty aircraft wind speed limit may be significantly lower. Wind speed is taken as that broadcast by the KPYM AWOS station, accessible on 508.746.8003.
